About: Forsyth Park, originally created in the 1840s and expanded later on, is a large city park composed of 30 acres in the historic district of Savannah, Georgia. The park is bordered by Gaston Street on the North, Drayton Street on the East, Park Avenue on the South and Whitaker Street on the West. This 30 acres land consists of walking paths, a café, a children’s play area, a Fragrant Garden for the blind, a large fountain, tennis & basketball courts, areas for soccer and Frisbee, and home field for Savannah Shamrocks Rugby Club. From time to time, there are concerts held at Forsyth to the benefit of the public.
My Experience: On Friday, 8/8/14, I have the opportunity to visit Forsyth Park. That day rained really hard as I arrived at my hotel in Savannah, GA. As the rain subsided, my family and I decided to stroll through the park. It was 7:30pm and the pictures I took were dark and wet. Below are pictures taken by my brother from his visit earlier in the year when the weather was better.
Forsyth park is a lovely place. There were people at the park sitting on the bench talking to friends, strolling around, and running on the paths. After a heavy rain, the park is still being utilized as if the sun was out. Rain or shine, this park will always look lovely and welcoming.
Pros: awesome sceneries, tranquil, just magnificient
Cons: none
I rate it 5 stars!
Let me know how you like it if you ever get a chance to visit Forsyth Park. What do you think of the pictures? My brother is an aspiring photographer.

Love Forsythe! Cop a squat on a blanket, take a nap, people watch, Shakespeare in the park, orchestra nights, and SCADs sidewalk arts fest! Wonderful place!
