The List Review

About: The List is a fiction novel written by Joanna Bolouri. This book is the author’s first book. It was published on 1/6/15 by Quercus. The genre of this book is women’s fiction.

My Experience: I started reading The List on 5/6/15 and finished it a little after midnight on 5/11/15. It’s a fast-paced, fun read. This book focus around a New Year Resolution, a list of challenges to accomplish for the year. Instead of resolutions to lose tummy fat like I always make for myself which ends up incomplete by the end of the year, the main character, Phoebe in this book, decided to make one resolution that could change her life and she follows through with it. Her adventures are interesting to read and sometimes a laughing-out-loud moments. A book many women can relate to, especially about self-worth.

Pros: recognize when a person is in a bad relationship, fast-paced, page-turner, humor,

Cons: the s.e.x is too reckless and may lead readers to think that they can go out and do with any guy they met like the friend Lucy. It’s just not safe to do that. There are diseases which no one like to bring up in a fun-filled book.

I rate it 4 stars!
