About: Same Time Next Week is a fiction novel written by Emily Smith. It was published on 5/18/15 by Bold Strokes Books, Inc. The genre of this book is romance and LGBTQIA. The first book the author wrote was Searching for Forever and it was published in 2014 which I have yet to read.
My Experience: I started to read this book on 5/12/15 and finished it on 5/17/15. It’s an okay book to read. Not my most favorite, a lot of personal contemplate from the main character about her marriage. There were more than 7 chapters of it actually and it repeats in other chapters too. Not a lot of actions at the first 75% of the book and lots more actions at the last few chapters. I personally don’t enjoy the story. Feeling guilty to cheat but yet cheat anyway. A cheater shouldn’t have the right to feel mad when they are being cheated on. If the marriage is not working out then why not try to work on it or quit. Overall, there is one good moral to take away from this book and that is, if you are educated, you should marry someone who is as well, so that will lessen one reason for divorce.
Pros: moral of the story, thoughts of a cheater, fast read
Cons: lack of couple therapy to try to save their marriage, on-going of unhappiness in a marriage of only 3 years
I rate it 3 stars!
