Hi Everyone! Today I’m doing a different kind of Blog Tour, a bit of book and a bit of skincare! Thank you Odd Dot Books, Macmillan’s newest imprint for inviting me to host a blog tour for your recently published book on natural skincare! This book is currently available, published on 11/5/2019, 48 pages.
Synopsis from Macmillan Publishers:
Make Your Own Beauty Masks: 38 Simple, All-Natural Recipes for Healthy Skin is a glam and gifty book of more than thirty all-natural beauty mask recipes.
Luxuriating! Refreshing! Renewing!
This book has simple and fun recipes that feature wholesome ingredients you can find in your fridge or pantry. Whether you are dry-skinned, oily, or just want refreshing “me-time,” find a recipe that best suits your needs. Mix the ingredients together in a blender or a bowl and apply the mask for ten to twenty minutes. You’ll finish with gorgeous, fresh skin!
Includes ten sheet masks!
The book is like a folder. The left side has a pocket that holds 10 free beautifully designed sheet masks. The right side has a book of recipes. First two pages teach you how to prep your face for the mask. Next two pages has different types of masks and page numbers. You pick which one you want to try and then go to the page number for the recipe. The recipes are easy to follow and healthy for your skin. It also gives you a list of the benefits for doing that particular mask.
The book and mask selections are super cute! I love the recipes because there are no chemical! Everything you can find at the supermarket or in your home.
In this recipe, I’m trying out what’s called the Papa-Yaaasss with papaya, milk, and raw honey! The benefits? Healing, Plumbing, Hydrating, Smoothing, Brightening.
I love how smooth and soft my skin feels after! I able to save the leftovers for next time!
This next recipe I’m trying is called Bananarama! The recipes are banana, oats, and raw honey. The benefits? Healing, Hydrating, Smoothing, Oil-Eliminating, Breakout-Busting! I’m only using products I already have at home. I didn’t even get to run to the grocery store for the ingredients.
If you have the book, of course there will be more explanation than what I have here but what’s great is, they are quick reads! The blend should be finer than this but I took a short cut and mashed them by hand..
I can’t stop raving about this book of natural whole food recipes to my family and friends! Today I’m letting you all know about it! I can’t wait to try the remaining recipes. There are some with cucumber, avocado, olive oil.. etc .. all the best ingredients for your skin!
If you do try it, let me know how it goes! Questions??
See you on my next blog post!
