Hi Everyone!
The new month is almost ending and I’m doing a previous month’s wrap! Yeah, time really do fly past me by. I’m on a race to read more books because my unread TBR seems to grow longer and longer. I don’t want to miss out on all of the good reads!
I have a 2 year old so you will see me reading a lot more picture books than I used to: Deep in the Sea, The Truth About Bears, Disney’s Treasury of Children’s Classics, Thankful, and The New Kid Has Fleas. I also have a middle grade reader so I will be reading lots of middle grade books too: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Monster Hunter. But I can’t live without my favorite fantasies: All of Us Villains, The House in the Cerulean Sea, The Midnight Sun, and The Midnight Lie and mystery thriller books so I will make time for them too: The Weekend Away. I do enjoy variety of other genres so I will read them as much as I can: No Regrets and The Sweetness of Water. That’s a total of 13 books and 1 audiobook. I enjoyed some more than others. In July, I bought my first kindle paperwhite. The promotion was, Amazon gave me 3 months free kindle unlimited subscription. So I read 4 picture books for my daughter. I wanted to read a few fantasy and mystery/thriller but so far I have only added on my kindle. I wrote mini reviews for these books on my Goodreads account (link in About Me page).

Last month was the first month I ventured out to explore the Little Free Libraries in my city. I loved those little houses as my toddler daughter likes to say so much! I have been watching a lot of videos on TikTok on little free libraries hunting too. I loved those cool designs. Unfortunately all of the ones in my city are pretty simple ones. Even so, I will be visiting them often to swap out my read books. Well.. not too often considering Covid and Delta’s new surge.
Happy Reading Everyone!
xoxo,
Jasmine
I wish my kids were as interested in reading as I am! I am constantly trying to encourage them but they are more interested in playing games! At 10 and 7 I am still trying and hopeful they will love books eventually but so far no luck!! x

Don’t buy them games 😊 that’s what I did. Give them Wimpy Kid and Dog Man series to try out. They are fun reads. My 9 year old loved it.

If only but I think they are in too deep now!! Haha! My son has all the Wimpy Kid books and likes them! He only reads when I take away his consoles for being an ass lol x

I do ask my son to read at least one book a day. Graphic novels are quick reads. Your kids may enjoy that.
