Just last year and previous years I was all against audiobooks because I thought I have attention problems and won’t be able to keep up. Well, I started to listen to one just to see what the fuss was about and I just loved it! I especially loved to read along while listening to audiobooks! I also used the rewind button often so it’s no worries if I tune out. I have been liking to listen while I cook, give my toddler a bath, and road trips.
Here in order the audiobooks I have been listening in accompanying to my reading this year:
1)The Lost Apothecary (I listened by itself without reading along).
2)And Then There Were None (I listened by itself without reading along).
3)The House in the Cerulean Sea (I listened by itself without reading along).
4)The Tale of Beedle the Bard (I read along off and on, but I recommend reading along because of different stories). Mini review on Goodreads.
5)Dark Roads (I listened by itself without reading along).
6)Let Her Lie (I read along off and on).
7)Grown (I read along off and on).
8)Aurora Rising (I read along because there were multiple main characters).
9)A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder (I read along).
10)Aurora Burning (I read along because there were multiple main characters).
11)Good Girl, Bad Blood (I read along).
I’m converted! The hype is real and met my expectations. Most books I read now, if it’s not ARCs, I would look up for audiobooks to listen to while I read. I loved audiobooks also for the different voices and accents the narrators made. I admire how narrators can change tones to upbeat voices, sad, scared, etc.
How about you? How do you feel about audiobooks?
