Hope you all are enjoying the last few days of 2021!! I love looking at my reading from year over year on Goodreads these days so I decided to blog about it. These two and a half years I don’t go to work but it doesn’t look like I read more than when I go to work full-time. It’s because taking care of the house and kids are as much work and as going into work. This year I managed to read more picture books for my toddler because I have a good deal on kindle unlimited subscription. The number of books is the highest of all the years but not the number of pages.
Goodreads kept a good track of my reading record for me. I wish I have my own record but I don’t. I started reading more around the time I started my blog, so around 2014. Per Goodreads, I joined in 2010 and added a few read books here and there but didn’t really add reviews to read books until 2014. See below my year over year reading totals.
Starting 2015, I included picture books I read for my 4 year old son at the time. As my son grew older, he began to read for himself. The end of last year and this year, I included picture books I read for my 2 year old daughter. It’s cool how my kids are involved in my reading timeline. I have 30 bookshelves on my Goodreads account and among them is picture books.
I’m working on finishing Ready Player One for the year. Since I joined the blogosphere and Bookstagram, I have read and added a lot of books to my TBR. Now every month I’m racing to read as many as I can. I do have other interests but reading stuck the longest!
Happy Reading Everyone!
